Do you have your own personal mantra? You know: words to live by; a saying that inspires you; something you repeat to yourself when the going gets tough (other than the tough get going)?
These kinds of quotes are usually the ones found on posters and framed pictures in the workplace. They inspire teaching, leadership, life, success, teamwork… and on, and on. How many of us really read those quotes however and take them to heart? On occasion they actually can be inspiring and somewhat motivational; it’s the over use of them that plagues us and discourages us from reading them and taking them seriously. Who can forget the little kitten hanging onto the tree branch for dear life with the quote “Hang in their Baby, Friday’s coming” beneath it? Today… It’s still my favorite.
Whereas there are many books that have been published to date that deal with relaxation and meditation; you don’t have to buy a book to page through some words of wisdom that—who knows—may appeal to you in such a way that it becomes your new personal mantra. If not in a book then where? Just click for great quotes about meditation.
And don’t worry, those Chinese proverbs are all translated (if not loosely).
